🤠Well, Howdy!
it's been a hot minute
Dear friends,
If you're a new subscriber to my newsletter, welcome! I'm so thrilled to have you here.
If you're a longtime friend of Saturn Peach, we've moved homes! Without getting into it too much, I wanted to move away from Substack, and we are now here on beautiful Ghost. Nothing should change on your end, but please do reach out to me if you have any trouble receiving emails or logging in to comment.
It's been...several months since my last newsletter, and I have a lot to tell you.
Personal Updates
- I took a look at my last letter and had a little laugh over how bad I felt having a migraine for one whole week. Those were the days! The bad news is that my new record for migraine length is a month and a half. The good news is that that was bad enough to qualify me for new treatment, which is helping immensely. It's been hard for me to keep on top of administrative things like sorting out my budget and writing this newsletter, but as my new treatment keeps working and Capricorn season rolls around again, I'm back in the zone.
- I learned how to use my sewing machine! So much of my creative work is done on the computer and for money, so it feels really good to work on something in realspace and not for money. Everything I've made has turned out a little wonky in places, but I love my projects and I love learning how to make things better.
- I started and finished a new run of Baldur's Gate 3 with my tiefling College of Valor bard Sigil (and now am back to playing Stardew Valley). I infamously love to start video games and never finish them, so I'm proud of myself for making it to the end of this one.
- I tried NaNoWriMo (again) and failed (again)! But I had a great time along the way.
Game Design Updates
- The latest version of Your Friend in Witchcraft is out in digital format, and I'm working hard at fulfilling the remaining orders from my ZiMo Kickstarter. For more on that process, check out this previous newsletter!
- I've released some all-new weird games:
- Behold My Grand & Glorious Hat And WEEP, an unhinged party game inspired by a deep dive in the Wikipedia pages of Catholic hats
- Heroic Verse, an engine for writing poetry inspired by The Legend of Zelda
- We Are But Sandworms, a one-word rpg/intrusive thought
- I received a Luminary Grant from Hit Point Press for the development of my fairy tale game To Catch the Milk-White Steed!
- I ran another Design Your Own Solo RPG Workshop for Sidequest Books & Games, and you can find copies of my games in their permanent brick & mortar shop!
- I'm currently co-hosting the Femininomenon Jam alongside pals Seraphina & LadyTabletop. From now until February 11, you can show us how you interpret the concept of a feminine game!
Things I've Loved Recently
- Curling up with a mug of hot chocolate and my electric heating pad
- Playing Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast with my friends

Kingfisher, The Witchwood Knot by Olivia Atwater, Funny Story by Emily Henry, Earls Trip by Jenny Holiday, and A Lady for a Duke by Alexis Hall
- Learning more about my Croatian heritage & family lore

I have some new posts in the works, so I'll be hoping to land in your inboxes again soon! In the meantime, I hope you can get some rest and enjoy whichever of the upcoming holidays you celebrate. Thanks for joining me today!
