🍑 Welcome!

Hello — I’m so glad you’re here!

Welcome to Saturn Peach, a monthly(ish) newsletter about creativity & community. Letters generally include a personal essay, announcements about my work, and a list of things I've been enjoying.

About Me

I’m Kay Marlow Allen, a disabled and genderqueer game designer, poet, and publisher based in Massachusetts. I’m interested in sharing the mundane and the magical of the everyday, and my work creates spaces for resting, reflecting, and connecting. If you’d like, you can see more of my work at earthlybody.studio.

About the Newsletter

I’ve named this newsletter after my favorite fruit: the saturn peach. Also called the flat peach, donut peach, UFO peach, custard peach, wild peach, white peach, squashed peach, or bagel peach, this fruit is flatter and sweeter than your regular yellow varietal. There’s something so interesting about calling it the saturn peach, though; the combination of celestial and terrestrial, huge and tiny, delights me.

Like a saturn peach, the work I share here will be small with a hint of strange. I’ve been honing my game design skills, experimenting with different ideas and formats, and learning more about my personal design style, and I’m excited to share the results with you!
